Vectorworks Remote Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is Vectorworks Remote?

  2. Vectorworks® Remote turns your mobile device into an extension of your Vectorworks desktop application; the app itself is free, but it requires a licensed version of the Vectorworks desktop application with the Vectorworks Remote plug-in installed.

Different remotes are available, depending on which Vectorworks products you have installed. The Vectorworks Remote plug-in is available for both Mac® and Windows®.

  3. What are the benefits of using Vectorworks Remote?

  4. Vectorworks Remote will let you do the following:

    • As a presentation assistant, it acts as a wireless control, freeing you from your desktop keyboard and mouse.
    • As a visualization aid, it enables you to use touch gestures on Vectorworks application files, giving you a more natural way to pan, zoom, and perform flyover and walkthrough actions.
    • As a productivity tool, it combines the Vectorworks desktop application’s Organization dialog box, Navigation palette, and Visualization palette into a single location and frees up your display area.

This is just the beginning for Vectorworks Remote. We encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas with us to make it more useful for you.
